waterkey? that's the tremolo! lol
why not mount that lathe where it's not wiggling like a freakout? I mean, at hard machining points of a shop.. concrete solid feet.
You are a true craftsman on musical instruments.
EO 7985 Conn Director, 40$ ~worth it? It didn't get dropped down a flight of bleacher steps... well maybe. valve one is stickyish, closet for 4 or 5 years. Kid didn't know how to spell cornet. FBMP. worth it? Worth a bell straitening? and all the tube dents removed? this one is small and won't probably require much heat. Main tuning slide stuck and all the way in. other slides seem awesome. Came in an Olds case? whatever lol... 60s? 70s? Hand-me-down horn prolly.
Cool video!
Super video, 🙏
Hey Wes, I am anxiously awaiting your next video!!😐
Nice sound! That horn has held up well in that kind of environment. You have a keen sense of finding the spots that need attention. It’s just a shame there wasn’t budget to take out the body tube dent. Maybe someday that horn will find itself in private hands which will be able to bring it back to its original state.😊
Video was close shuting
Wars only benefit the rich and sacrifice the poor to fill there pockets
Very helpful info!!
Wes, do you ever re lacquer any of your repairs?
What a lovely job you did there. Full of admiration!
I am a nostalgic person I believe without restorers our world would be a very sad place bless them all
Do you have a lathe with a collet chuck? Chuck the tube and run a reamer through it. That will take that pipe out.
A satisfying job is worth a lot. Nice work.
A pleasure to watch and thanks for sharing. We use similar instruments over here in Wales.
I found your channel around a week ago, trying to catch up with all of your videos. There is nothing like watching a craftsman at work. Great job.
hi there. i am from south africa. What chemicals do you use for deep cleaning
Nice work! @ 00:16:44 Did you remove the dent and accidentally got a small hole?
I've just sent a besson 982 to mcqueens for a total refurbishment in Manchester, UK, they are magicians! 🙂
Nice job! I enjoy your repair videos very much!
I’m in awe of this video.
You sir are a magician!
Another fantastic job, greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Genius what a professional 👏👏
I enjoy watching your craftsmanship. Maybe, I could do some apprentice work in a shop and learn more.
Absolutely amaaaaaaaazing, patient work!!!
Amazing job 👏👏👏👍🏼
You do amazing work, sir. Thank you for sharing!!
You are amazing, sir.
How would you go about the opposite procedure? Like, narrowing the diameter of the slide if it were too large?
That damage was no accident
I really liked doing that.
What a wonderful job; greetings from Chile; to the South of the world!
Thanks for this fascinating video, Great work, I wish I had a fraction of this fellows skills, Cheers from Australia.
my trumpet!!
Excelent job!! It's só nice tô watch a super pro artist working!! I got my trumpet when I was 10, after the graduation in the music school, it fell down and one " piston " got stucked like in the vídeo. I never ever played again, this happened at 48 years... Around 14 years ago I went tô buy a new one, tried a lot to play anything in the store, result I do not know how to play anymore... If you play, NEVER stop otherwise you lose like I did.
Uau... Bravo pelo trabalho
Brilliant!
Nice demonstration. Thanks man :0)
These videos are enjoyable, but I’m convinced these instruments are purposely damaged to make content.
Need somebody to work with you? Just let me know. Very great works on your channel, congratulations.

So much time and dedication. I wonder what you charge for such a work. Does it really worth the cost of the original instrument?
What do you use to clean pipes that have limescale buildup?
